FBC Children's Ministry During COVID-19

We are back! Children's Worship happens each Sunday during our regular Worship Service for those ages 0-4. Extra safety measures are in place to help provide a safe environment for your children to grow and learn about Jesus.

Safety Procedures - Upon arrival, you will find our Check-In Station outside of the Children's Hall. In addition to our normal check-in, you will be asked a few questions to verify your child's wellness and your child's temperature will be checked. Our workers will be wearing masks, social distancing will be in place where feasible, and parents are asked to stay off the hall for extra safety. For the safety of all, we ask you to keep your child home if they are sick!

Our Children's Bible Study Groups start at 9:15am with our safety measures in place. This time is very important for us to continue to teach the gospel to our children in a small group setting.

Wednesday Night activities remain on hold until further notice.

At First Baptist Church, children ages birth through 5th grade have a chance to be a part of Grow & Go Kids. Our mission is to show children the love of Jesus, to share the gospel of Jesus, and to make disciples of Jesus - all in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.

At FBC, we realize what an awesome responsibility we have been given when it comes to looking after children. Each worker with Grow & Go Kids has received a background check, and participates in regular training on issues pertaining to child care and well being. When you bring your child to the Grow & Go Kids welcome desk, you will check in through our online system. After you have checked in your child, you will be given a ticket confirming your identity as the adult that can checkout your child.

For kids ages 3 and under, our focus is simple. We teach 1) God made me, and 2) God loves me. These concepts are taught through story and music. The kids have a chance to listen to a story, play, have a snack, and learn that church is a place where they are loved and cared for.

For the preschool and up crowd, we use the Teach Us the Bible curriculum. This curriculum breaks down the Bible into lessons that cover the whole Bible every 2 years. Our classes are divided by age, so that each class gets the gospel presented on their level.

On Wednesday nights, children ages 4 and up are invited to participate in Children in Action, a coed group that teaches Bible study, missions, and service to others. A nursery is provided for those not old enough for Children in Action.

In addition to our Sunday and Wednesday night teachings, we have special events for the kids presented throughout the year to foster community and strengthen families as they have fun and learn together.
